SEO Always Matters Most

Most businesses do not stop to consider what matters most to their web site growth. Most do not even stop to consider Google and their role in the ranking of the company the business-owner is trying to make profits from. And that famous buzzword, SEO and what does it mean to their business growth. The year of the Panda and Penguin brought about some huge changes in the way Google evaluates and ranks websites in 2014. Finally it became the basis for analytics of Google ranking in 2016. If you’re still thinking that you can do the same as in the past and achieve good rankings in Google, especially  using all those black hat techniques –  you need to think again …

Although many of the tried-and-true SEO strategies are still in use by Google, they are less important today and dropping fast in relevance.

Have a focused SEO strategy to include:

* High-Quality Content (not pre-canned articles or poorly written page content)
* Regular Updates (freshness)
* Original Content (with Author Rank)
* Social Impact (useful, quality posts that are shared socially)
* Technical Correctness (standards-based code, error-free HTML/CSS3, no templates or Flash, etc.)

Have a pre-planned SEO writing strategy:

* List out the keywords and key phrases you are focused on.
* Be aware of what’s important in your business world news as you are jumping on the ‘bandwagon’
* Prioritize the order (can be very many and always changing, adding new ones)
* Write about the most important keyword first (or your best ideas first)
* Make sure to cover all your keywords/phrases to gain a wide spectrum of digital underpinning for your SEO
* Go back and re-write your existing articles, to get the keywords the need positioned and in them

Maximize what you now know:

1) The Main Heading should have the exact Phrase you have chosen
2) Main Heading should be followed by max 150 word description. (Yes, count your words, Google does) Try to use the same phrase in that description.
3) Create 1-2 Sub Headings and add 2-3 paragraphs of text.
4) Try to use smaller sentences (use language of a fourth-grader, yes, that is what Google wants) that will raise the readability score which improves SEO
5) Try to include the phrase in your article minimum 4 times and the article should be minimum 300 words. It is better to have it at-least 400 words
6) Try to have the keyword/phrase early in the sentence instead of at the end, or at least very some of each in sentence structure.
7) Include couple of relevant images and add Alt Tags to those images. Alt tags should should have same Phrase you are targeting.
8) Avoid black hat marketing techniques that caused Google to write all of these analytics in the first place!

The above lists are a very simplified approach to help you with what may seem like a huge task, and it is! But like everything huge in our lives, take it one bit and one day at a time A good plan always out performs. no matter how hard we pursue the wrong efforts.

Those Panda/Penguin updates fundamentally changed the way in which your website is evaluated and ranked by Google, so proceed accordingly with a good business growth partner with experience you can depend on! We love being the ‘On Point Business Solutions’ for our clients!
